The question of consciousness is surely an old one, a multi-faceted one that requires your brain to think so much so that some smoke might be leaking out. Hahahaha...

Empiricism - The Scientific Approach

Alright, let's start with the scientists, from what you've read, heard, the books that caught your attention, you may be familiar with the scientist's approach when It comes to the great question of "What is consciousness?" A scientis may look at this question through the lens of empiricism, they may start infering their discoveries, experiments regarding mice, chimpanzees, octopuses, elephants, they may say that there are layers or levels to consciousness. Linguists may look at the development of symbols and language throughout the axis of time and have a Totally different opinion.

Mysticism - The Mystic's Approach -

Mythology, symbols, dreams, psychedelic experiences and other mind-twisting experiences. The Mystic looks at the world and sees anecdotes, repeating patterns of experiences, he interprets them and creates compelling stories, he is trying to make sense of the 'unknown' and the 'unexplainable'. Mystics always existed and they took different forms depending on the culture they're in and the timeline that they're a part of. They have a charisma to them, a way of sparking wisdom just in

the right moment. Their way of going about explaining consciousness may be related to a cloud over-flowing everything that the world is supposed to be and a sort of universal wisdom.
